Alexander Callewaert to join Jonathan De Crem as ULI Belgium and Luxembourg Young Leaders Co-Chair

The Urban Land Institute (ULI) has announced the appointment of Alexander Callewaert, Project Developer, BESIX RED, as the new Young Leaders Co-Chair for ULI Belgium and Luxembourg. He will join the current Co-Chair Jonathan De Crem, Senior Investment Advisor, Cushman & Wakefield. Alexander’s term officially began on November 1, 2025, and he will serve on a voluntary basis for the next two years.
Alexander Callewaert is a real estate developer at BESIX RED, active in Belgium. He is responsible for driving projects from deal sourcing to exit, including for their financial and strategic alignment. Alexander is trilingual, and has degree in Business Engineering from KU Leuven, academic exchanges in Spain and Hong Kong, and an early career at Amazon.
Alexander Callewaert comments, “As newly appointed Co-Chair of ULI Young Leaders BeLux, I’m eager to channel the recent energy from the ULI Europe Young Leaders retreat in Warsaw and our latest visit to Luxembourg with the ULI BeLux Young Leaders into a sharp, content-driven 2026 agenda — elevating dialogue between developers, investors, and city-makers, and keeping our under-35 community at the heart of Europe’s evolving real estate conversation.”
The new leadership team will guide the Belgium and Luxembourg Young Leaders chapter, which is dedicated to advancing ULI’s mission, vision, and values. Their focus will be on expanding ULI Belgium and Luxembourg’s Young Leader membership through a dynamic programme of events and initiatives tailored to the needs of real estate professionals in the early stages of their careers.
The ULI Young Leaders programme is designed for professionals under 35 working in real estate, offering members unparalleled access to ULI content, networking opportunities with industry peers and senior professionals, and continuous professional development through exclusive events and workshops.
